Shelley and I just learned that our next assignment with the State Department will be Amman, Jordan. We are very happy and excited about this assignment - Jordan was our first choice (among over 100 choices). Once we leave Mexico next summer, we will be in D.C. for a year while I learn Arabic. If you've ever wanted to visit Israel and the Holy Land (Jerusalem is only a 2-3 hour car ride from Amman), plan on doing so between July 2009 and July 2011 while we are there.
